Ok I'm back. It's been a long time, but whatever. Last night was the first poop-in-the-potty for G-dawg. After checking out his deed, he turned around and stated, "Awesome!"
Being the lucky duck that he is, Grover got to go to 3 different playgrounds yesterday (but I only had my camera at the first one - Fernhill). The banana flavored pop is featured in many shots, as is the soccer ball.
There's really nothing all that funny about it, but I was just excited that he wanted to try a new food... and kind of tickled that he wanted to use the chopsticks. Download CIMG0445
As most couples do, we celebrated our first year of marital bliss with the kids at the zoo. Topping it all off was an excellent zoo-train ride... oh yeah, and Journey's Don't Stop Believing playing on the radio as we were pulling out of the parking lot. Download CIMG0433
The three day conference on the coast that I needed to go to for work just happened to coincide with a patch of three days of beautiful, warm weather. Rich and the kids came out with me to Seaside on Sunday, and we had to get in one over-priced family-fun ride on the carousel before they had to head back to town.
We've been making little trips to the Columbia River to throw rocks and sticks in the water. For the record, Timmy and Grover wanted me to post that they would be much happier if we stayed forever.
I've been trying to remember all of the great wilderness areas around Portland that I can take Grover to and let him run around. We tried these lakes last weekend with Timmy, but they don't allow dogs, so Grover and I returned today sans pooch (sadly) to check it out. G liked the observation deck best - not for its view, but because the steel grate floor allows you to see the water below and makes a great noise when you run across it.
